Fertility support and advocate
My work as a Patient advocate spans over two decades and began after our own journey of Infertility; 6 years, 5 rounds of IVF , Miscarriage and two amazing children born as a result of treatment.
During those years I used my Counselling and Coaching training to help myself through the many highs and lows of treatment. After that chapter ended I knew how much I wanted to help others facing their own similar stories.
This led me to setting up and running my own Fertility coaching business, publishing my book Fertile Thinking and developing and leading a course for patients of the same name.
I worked for one of the top Fertility clinics, London Women's Clinic, creating and leading in the Patient co-ordinator role which saw a streamlined process of support rolled out for all patients for the first time. Followed by leading on the national project Fertility in the Workplace training and equipping organisations to support their staff teams when facing fertility journeys.
Over the past 20 years I have delivered key note speeches, been an non-executive director for Europe's first fertility and arts festival, advised leading actors, spoken to the media and supported and helped hundreds of people on their journey. I remain determined to play my part in ending the isolation many people still experience and to equipping others to do the same.
